Flying the Flag

  Go for Gold in 2012!

New awards are going to be presented annually, based on the number of times members represent the Club over a calendar year. Any runner who races for the Club 10-14 times, Jan – Dec 2012 will get a bronze award, 15-19 times silver and in excess of 20 times gold!

If we had done this in 2011, at least fourteen awards would have been given: would you have won one?

 Almost any race counts, providing:

  • - you enter as Thornbury Running Club
  • - you wear Club colours

TRC’s own races (Rollick, Sundays Hill, OPS10) do NOT count as this penalises those who marshal – and marshalling or helping is more important than running on those occasions.

Although the running and tri-results will be scanned regularly it will be no good complaining if your races aren’t counted, unless you have sent an e-mail to John Grimsey (running results) Andrew Darton (Tri results) Craig Carscadden (Road Race championships) or Judy Mills (Gazette reports and Flying the Flag).

So, get entered, get out there, and fly the flag for Thornbury Running Club!
