Syd Wheeler, of Chepstow Harriers, got in touch after the inter-club mob match to say: ‘Your first runner, Paul Horsfall, broke our course record (16min 42sec) in a time of 16.38. Well done to him.’ The Harriers regularly use the 5km Bridge course for their time trials.

It was a great night out – lovely weather, excellent organisation, and a great turnout with 47 runners (exactly!) from each club. TRC were unfortunately pipped to the post in the final countdown – Chepstow 2264 points, Thornbury 2201 points, with the difference of 63 points being the equivalent of a middle-of-the field runner.
